After the 14-year-old made a surprise appearance at the world premiere for her mother’s upcoming series War in London, Sienna Miller admitted she “somewhat” regretted posing with her eldest child on the red carpet, according to reporting originating on E! Online.
Miller shares Marlowe with her ex, Tom Sturridge. Clarifying the nature of the appearance on the Sept. 23 episode of SiriusXM’s The Julia Cunningham Show, Miller explained that her daughter did not actually walk the main arrivals line with her. Instead, Marlowe attended with a friend, alongside Miller’s mother.
“And then there it was five seconds at the end where she came to give me a hug and totally mogged me,” Miller said during the SiriusXM broadcast.
The fleeting mother-daughter moment quickly circulated online, with social media users commenting on the teenager’s appearance. The unexpected wave of attention left the Horizon: An American Saga star “slightly concerned.”
“I somewhat regret it because I didn’t expect—and I don’t think she expected—that that would have the response that it got,” Miller explained, adding a joke about the situation: “I think I’m going to be sending her away to a nunnery for the next four years till she can emerge as an actual adult.”

Miller emphasized that public exposure does not define her daughter’s character or everyday life. The 44-year-old actress, who is also mother to a 2-year-old daughter and a 5-month-old son with fiancé Oli Green, noted that physical appearance is secondary to who Marlowe is as a person.
“She is extraordinarily beautiful, but that’s kind of the least interesting thing about Marlowe,” Miller added. “She’s so clever and she’s so funny and she’s still my little girl.”
When asked if fans could expect more joint appearances at high-profile industry events, Miller offered a direct answer: “I don’t know that we’re going to be doing more red carpets.”
