Shraddha Dubey Denies Wrongdoing In Shiva Sharma Death Case

Shraddha Dubey Denies Wrongdoing In Shiva Sharma Death Case

October 15, 2026 Emma Walker – News Editor News

Model and social media influencer Shraddha Dubey surfaced in a video denying any wrongdoing in the death of 28-year-old restaurant owner Shiva Sharma, who fell from the fourth floor of an apartment in Lucknow on October 9. The 1-minute-15-second video emerged as Lucknow Police intensified efforts to trace the accused, having announced a reward of Rs 25,000 each for information leading to the arrest of Dubey, her sister Rashmi Dubey, and Tanveer Ali, also known as Danish, in connection with the case.

Police Offer Rewards for Missing Suspects

The family alleges that Dubey pushed Sharma from the building and subjected him to harassment and physical abuse, claims that investigators are currently examining. The police postmortem examination recorded 10 injuries on Sharma’s body, stating that his death was caused by a fall onto a hard surface.

In response to the suspects going untraceable, Lucknow Deputy Commissioner of Police Vikrant Vir announced a reward of Rs 25,000 each for Dubey, her sister Rashmi, and driver Tanveer Ali alias Danish. Police sources stated that investigators suspect Dubey and her sister may have fled toward the Nepal border, with their last known location traced to Rupaidiha in Bahraich district, where an SUV allegedly linked to Dubey was found abandoned.

Dubey Claims Sharma Committed Suicide

In the video released on social media, Dubey asserted that Sharma’s death was a case of suicide rather than murder. The truth is that Shiva Sharma did not die due to murder but by suicide, she stated, adding that she was not currently in a condition to explain the circumstances in detail due to her health. She also denied that she was absconding, stating her intention to cooperate with investigators.

Dubey urged the media to stop linking her to politicians and senior officials, stating that connections on Instagram do not imply personal relationships. Her background includes moving to Lucknow from Raebareli a decade ago and separating from her husband, Prince Dubey, whom she divorced in 2022. NDTV reported that audio recordings of calls between Dubey and Sharma have also become a key part of the police investigation, capturing arguments over an alleged delay in bringing cigarettes and discussions concerning a party.

Criminal Connections and Extortion Allegations

As the probe continues, investigators are examining alleged links between Dubey and history-sheeters associated with criminal networks, including individuals connected to the Mukhtar Ansari gang. Police are scrutinizing whether Dubey used these associations to intimidate people, extort money, and blackmail victims. Investigators are also examining allegations that she operated an extortion racket by inviting visitors to her residence, accusing them of theft, and recording private photographs and videos to blackmail them.

Police teams are continuing to analyze CCTV footage, chat records, electronic evidence, and phone records that placed the accused near the apartment around the time of the incident to determine the exact sequence of events leading to Sharma’s death.

Audio Recordings Reveal Arguments Between Dubey and Sharma

In another audio recording, Dubey and Sharma were heard arguing over an alleged party, with Dubey telling him, You want to go to a party…You will party in jail. During a call where Dubey accused Sharma of locking her in the house, Sharma denied the accusation, telling her, I didn’t lock you and run away…I met my friends here. We were talking and smoking a cigarette, while Dubey complained, Everyone knows that you have locked me and run away. Sharma’s family alleged that Dubey had previously filed complaints of molestation and other offences against several people, including at Hazratganj police station, and the family claimed that Sharma had been living with Dubey in her apartment for the past four months. Despite these developments, investigators have yet to independently verify the circulating audio clips and claims regarding the threats, and authorities have not yet established the exact whereabouts of Dubey, her sister, and their driver.
