Showers are expected to continue impacting the region through Tuesday as the remnants of Tropical Depression 9 linger along the Carolina coastline. While direct impacts to the Tri-Cities area are anticipated to be minimal, residents shoudl be aware of the potential for increased cloud cover and scattered rainfall over the next several days.
The National weather Service reports that the heaviest rainfall and strongest winds associated with the tropical system will remain offshore. Though, moisture from the system is forecast to extend inland, bringing a chance of showers to the mountains beginning Tuesday, September 24th. Saturday,September 21st,will be partly cloudy with a high of 74 degrees.
