Shizuoka, Japan – September 3, 2025 – Shimizu S-Pulse adn albirex Niigata will host an interleague walking football game at Denka Big S-One Stadium on Saturday, September 13th, seeking participants for the amiable competition. Registration is now open for the event, designed to promote accessible sports engagement and community building through a modified version of the popular game.
This walking football match offers a unique possibility for individuals to participate in a low-impact sporting activity, fostering camaraderie between supporters of both clubs. The game adheres to walking football rules, emphasizing skill and tactical play over speed and physicality. Participants should be aware that spiked footwear is prohibited.
Participants are requested to wear exercise clothing and training shoes, and are required to bring their own club colour jacket. A water supply of drinks will be available. First aid will be provided on-site for any injuries sustained during the event, though participants are responsible for follow-up care.
