SHIFTER: Håkan Silfvernagel leaves Sopra Steria to join Forte Data and AI team
Håkan Silfvernagel, a Microsoft MVP in artificial intelligence since 2020, has left his position at Sopra Steria to join Forte, according to a report published by SHIFTER. Silfvernagel joins the company’s Data and AI division to work on client projects, contribute during the bidding phase, and serve as an internal technical resource under the leadership of Guro Vassend, Head of Data and AI at Forte.
Silfvernagel Worked in AI and Robotics
Prior to his move to Forte, Silfvernagel worked as a Senior AI Architect and AI Evangelist at Sopra Steria. During his tenure there, his responsibilities included developing artificial intelligence solutions designed to extract information from complex regulatory frameworks and automating the sorting of municipal email correspondence. Before his time at Sopra Steria, he led the Data and AI initiative at Miles.
Silfvernagel also spent a decade working in industrial research and development within robotics and process automation at ABB. That tenure included professional assignments spanning Sweden, Silicon Valley, and Norway.
Strategic Focus on Data Quality
The appointment comes as Forte looks to bolster its technical environment. According to Vassend, the expansion of the firm’s AI team addresses foundational requirements for digital development.
Good data quality is the foundation for everything we build,
Vassend stated in the SHIFTER report. When AI gets a larger place in businesses’ working day, this becomes even more important.
Silfvernagel noted that he had observed the firm’s trajectory since its founding. I have followed Forte since the start and have gained a very good impression of both the professional environment and the values,
Silfvernagel said. Forte is an established player that still has a pioneer spirit.
