Sharjah Museums Authority Unveils New Visual Identity
Sharjah Museums Authority Unveils Unified Visual Identity Marking Two Decades of Cultural Evolution
Marking twenty years since its establishment, the Sharjah Museums Authority launched a new visual identity, uniting the organization and its twenty museums under a single contemporary framework, Sharjah24 reported. The redesign, which arrives as the authority enters its third decade, aims to celebrate Sharjah’s cultural heritage while reinforcing institutional commitments to artifact preservation, educational enrichment, and public exploration.
Design Elements Reflecting Architectural Heritage and Arabic Calligraphy
The newly minted visual system draws its primary design cues from the distinct architectural arches characterizing Sharjah’s historic buildings and museum spaces. According to Sharjah24, the branding integrates elements inspired by Arabic calligraphy to establish a contemporary visual language denoting creativity, motion, exploration, and communication. A coordinated palette blends traditional hues with modern innovation across a structured ecosystem of logos, graphic elements, and custom icons.
Refreshed Branding Elevates International Profile and Cultural Footprint
Rather than serving merely as a cosmetic update, the refreshed branding marks a fresh chapter in the authority’s institutional evolution designed to elevate its international profile and cultural footprint. Sharjah24 noted that the initiative supports broader efforts to deliver interactive, compelling experiences for local communities and international visitors alike.
“The new identity expresses the depth of our mission and aspirations for the future, and affirms our commitment to preserving heritage and enriching knowledge, and maintaining the vitality of museums as spaces for learning, exploration, and cultural dialogue,” said Maysa Saif Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Sharjah Museums Authority, as reported by Sharjah24.
