Singaporean moviegoers can now use their SG Culture Pass credits to purchase tickets for three locally produced Chinese New Year films currently screening or soon to be released, Golden Village announced this week.
The eligible films are 3 Good Guys, Liang Po Po Vs Ah Beng and Luck My Life. Patrons can redeem credits via the Golden Village (GV) website or iGV app by purchasing an SG Culture Pass Everyday Movie e-Voucher, valued at $16 and valid for one movie ticket per voucher. A maximum of four e-Vouchers can be purchased per transaction.
3 Good Guys, a Thai-Singaporean romantic comedy, features Singaporean influencers Simonboy (Simon Khung), Mayiduo (Kelvin Tan), and Tommy Wong. The film centers on a man whose marriage prospects are threatened by his future mother-in-law, and his friends’ own romantic struggles, complicated by a visit to a Thai shrine. We see currently showing in Singapore cinemas.
Liang Po Po Vs Ah Beng, opening on February 17, stars Singaporean actor-director Jack Neo in drag as the popular character Liang Po Po, alongside Malaysian DJ-actor Jack Lim as Ah Beng. Directed by Malaysian filmmaker Matt Lai, the film follows the duo as they embark on a cross-border mission to rescue Ah Beng’s adopted daughter from an organ-trafficking syndicate.
Too opening on February 17, Luck My Life features Richie Koh, Tay Ping Hui, and Yang Shibin. The story revolves around a wealthy young man whose lifelong luck suddenly disappears, leading to an identity crisis.
A convenience fee of $2 applies to all e-Voucher redemptions made through the GV website or iGV app. This fee cannot be covered by SG Culture Pass credits. The e-Voucher redemption is valid until March 18.
The $100 SG Culture Pass credits are available to all Singaporean citizens and permanent residents aged 18 and above and will expire on December 31, 2028. The credits are intended to support local arts and heritage activities and programmes offered by authorized ticketing partners.
