Report and thanks for the narrow loss of the 107th National High School Baseball Championship 3rd round
In the third round of the Koshien tournament held today, the Sendai Ikuei Gakuen Hardball Baseball Club was defeated 3-5 after a fierce battle with Okinawa Shogaku High School.

We were deeply moved and proud to see the players who never gave up until the end and fought with all their might.

Ace pitcher Yoshikawa Yodai (3rd year) pitched a complete pitcher with a spirit that pitched 151 pitches alone. After the game, he tearfully said, “I still wanted to play baseball,” and “I want to express my gratitude to my teammates.”

Coach Sue also praised the players’ growth, saying, “The way they lose is because they have no experience more. It was the best way to lose.”

The way they spoke, encouraged each other and supported each other no matter the situation, truly embodied the bonds of the team that are typical of Sendai Ikuei.
