Securitize Adds Stellar Blockchain to Tokenization Infrastructure

Securitize Adds Stellar Blockchain to Tokenization Infrastructure

October 28, 2026 Rachel Kim – Technology Editor Technology

Securitize Adds Stellar Blockchain Infrastructure

Securitize integrated the Stellar blockchain into its real-world asset tokenization platform, expanding its multi-chain infrastructure beyond Ethereum, Solana, and Avalanche, CoinDesk reported. The deployment was announced at Meridian, the Stellar Development Foundation’s annual conference held in Lisbon, Portugal, on October 28.

The Tech TL;DR:

  • Securitize added Stellar to its tokenization stack, joining Ethereum, Solana, and Avalanche.
  • Stellar provides asset-level compliance tools such as built-in KYC checks and transaction clawbacks.
  • The network currently ranks as the fourth-largest ecosystem for tokenized real-world assets.

Securitize adds Stellar to its tokenization infrastructure

Before integrating Stellar, Securitize provided tokenization infrastructure across Ethereum, Solana, and Avalanche. The platform is well-known for issuing and managing BlackRock’s tokenized money-market fund, BUIDL. Adding Stellar brings another high-throughput ledger into the firm’s deployment pipeline, allowing issuers to convert real-world financial instruments like equity and debt into tradeable digital tokens.

The expansion coincides with broader market scaling for tokenized assets, as companies increasingly offer around-the-clock trading for shares, bonds, and commodities with minimal geographic friction.

Stellar provides native compliance controls and speed

Securitize selected Stellar due to its transaction speed, scalability, and native compliance controls. Stellar allows asset issuers to configure functions directly at the protocol level. Issuers can enforce customer identification requirements, execute token clawbacks, and maintain sanctions compliance natively.

Financial institutions already use these infrastructure properties in production. Franklin Templeton operates a tokenized money market fund directly on the Stellar network, and MoneyGram utilizes the ledger for daily cross-border value transfers.

Stellar ranks fourth for tokenized real-world assets

Securitize CEO Carlos Domingo highlighted the network’s adoption metrics during the announcement in Lisbon. “The Stellar network has built the fourth-largest ecosystem for tokenized real-world assets, which speaks to the strength of its network and the growing institutional demand for tokenization,” Domingo stated.
