Texas Longhorns
Texas has made notable additions to its roster through the transfer portal, headlined by Cam Heide from Purdue. Despite limited playing time in his two years with the Boilermakers, Heide demonstrated exceptional three-point shooting ability in limited appearances, leading coach Rodney Terry to believe he can develop into one of the nation’s premier shooters with increased court time.
Ole Miss Rebels
Ole Miss has assembled a significant transfer class, bringing in players from across the country. The Rebels landed a pair of Louisville transfers in James Scott,a 6’11” center, and Koren Johnson. Chris Beard hopes to unlock Scott’s potential, while Johnson arrives after earning recognition at Washington before a season-ending injury cut short his time with the Cardinals.
Travis Perry,a highly-regarded high school player from Kentucky, joins the Rebels after a freshman season at the university of Kentucky where he saw limited action. Augusto Cassia, a Brazilian native, seeks a more prominent role after his time at Butler.
Ole Miss also added AJ Storr, a 6’6″ wing who previously scored 16.8 points per game at Wisconsin before struggling to find his offensive rhythm at Kansas last season. Corey Chest, an effective shot blocker from LSU, will look to expand his game with the Rebels.
Rounding out the class is Kezza Giffa, a standout player from High Point. The Paris native was a key contributor for one of the nation’s top mid-major teams, known for his excellent feel for the game and ability to elevate his teammates. While his undersized guard stature may present challenges in the physicality of the SEC, his playmaking ability is expected to be a valuable asset.
