Ride overview
Get ready to explore Seattle’s stunning scenery on two wheels! This ride begins at Gas Works Park, promptly at 10:00 AM, with a mandatory safety briefing for all participants. Attendance at the safety briefing is required to join the ride.
We’ll embark on a journey showcasing some of seattle’s most iconic views, including stops at Golden Gardens, Magnolia, and Kerry Park. Prepare to work those hill-climbing muscles - but don’t worry, we’ll take it at our own pace and regroup frequently to ensure everyone stays together.
Route Highlights & Refreshments
Our route is designed to balance challenging climbs with breathtaking scenery. We’ll be mindful of speed limits on multi-use paths, adhering to the legal maximum of 15 MPH (and occasionally 10 MPH where required).
A highlight of the ride will be a well-deserved break at Petit pierre Bakery in Magnolia, where we’ll enjoy coffee and snacks to refuel for the remainder of the journey.
What to Bring
Be prepared for anything! We strongly recommend bringing a spare tube and tools to handle potential flat tires. Other essentials include:
- Phone
- Identification (ID)
- Cash and/or credit card
- ORCA card (for public transportation options)
- Water and a small snack
Important note: If conditions are wet, please ensure your bike is equipped with full fenders. Riders without fenders may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Safety & Cancellation Policy
restrooms are conveniently located at the start of the ride and at our snack stop, approximately 16 miles into the route.
Your safety is our priority. The Ride Leader reserves the right to cancel the ride in the event of steady rain or unforeseen hazardous riding conditions. All registered riders will receive a notification email if a cancellation occurs. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start time, the Ride Leader(s) will not be present at the start location. Please check for updates before heading to Gas Works Park.
