Seahawks’ Ernest Jones IV Drops Profanity-Laced Super Bowl Parade Speech

February 12, 2026 Emma Walker – News Editor News

Seattle Seahawks linebacker Ernest Jones IV delivered a profanity-laced speech at the team’s Super Bowl parade on Wednesday, directing pointed criticism toward those who doubted the team’s championship potential. Jones, 26, addressed the crowd in Seattle following the Seahawks’ 29-13 victory over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LX.

“Imma keep it a buck, I’m prolly the last person they should have gave the mic too, but we finna turn up man,” Jones said, according to Fox News Digital. He went on to praise team owner Jody Allen, general manager John Schneider, and head coach Mike MacDonald for their roles in the team’s success. He too lauded his teammates, calling them “bada– motherf—— who play this game the right way.”

Jones then turned his attention to critics, delivering a direct message: “If you got anything to say about my quarterback, if you got anything to say about defense – if you got anything to say about my defense – if you got anything to say about my o-line, and if you anything to say about the city of Seattle, I got two words for you… F— you!”

The outburst came after a season where the Seahawks were widely considered underdogs. Quarterback Sam Darnold, who led the team to victory, entered free agency after the 2024 season following 14 wins with the Minnesota Vikings, a move that raised questions about Seattle’s prospects. Jones and several teammates wore shirts to the parade with an expletive-laden message, reportedly with Darnold’s blessing, as a statement against those who doubted the team, according to Yahoo Sports.

Jones was a key contributor to the Seahawks’ championship defense. He recorded 126 total tackles, half a sack, and five interceptions during the regular season, including one interception returned for a touchdown. In three playoff games, he added 25 total tackles, an interception, a pass deflection, and a forced fumble, according to team statistics reported by Fox News Digital.

The Seahawks capped a 10-game winning streak with their Super Bowl victory, defeating the Patriots in Santa Clara, California. The team finished the regular season on a seven-game winning streak, securing the NFC’s top seed.

Following the Super Bowl, Jones engaged in a social media exchange with Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua, who had mocked Darnold online. Jones defended his quarterback, referencing his own Super Bowl win with the Rams in 2021, according to Yahoo Sports.
