Seahawks Celebrate Super Bowl LX Victory with Parade & Bold Message

February 12, 2026 Alex Carter - Sports Editor Sport

Seattle erupted in celebration Wednesday as the Seahawks paraded through the city streets, commemorating their decisive 29-13 victory over the Recent England Patriots in Super Bowl LX. An estimated one million fans, according to local authorities cited by king5.com, lined the route to cheer the team’s return with the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

Amidst the jubilant atmosphere, Seahawks linebacker Ernest Jones IV seized the opportunity to address those who doubted the team’s potential throughout the 2025 season. A video clip of his remarks, posted by Barstool Sports, quickly circulated online.

“In all honesty, if you have anything to say about my quarterback [Sam Darnold], my defense, my offensive line and the city of Seattle, I have two words to say to you: f…,” Jones declared, using explicit language during the public address. He followed the outburst with praise for his teammates, stating, “Congratulations to these sick people who played the right way. Not only do we have the best defense, but we are banking on the best team in the world.”

The Super Bowl victory, played Sunday at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, was largely attributed to Seattle’s dominant defensive performance. The Seahawks held the Patriots scoreless until the fourth quarter, ultimately sacking quarterback Drake Maye six times and forcing three turnovers, including a pick-six that extinguished any remaining hope for New England. According to SI.com, this defensive showing was comparable to legendary Super Bowl defenses of the past, including those of the “Steel Curtain” Pittsburgh Steelers, the 1985 Chicago Bears, the 2000 Baltimore Ravens, the “Legion of Boom” Seahawks, and the 2015 Denver Broncos.

While the defense was pivotal, running back Kenneth Walker III was named Super Bowl LX MVP. Walker rushed for 135 yards on 27 carries and added two receptions for 26 yards, totaling 161 scrimmage yards. He is the first running back to receive the honor since Terrell Davis of the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XXXII in 1998, as reported by NFL.com. Walker’s performance also marked the most rushing yards in a Super Bowl since Davis’ 157 yards in that same game nearly three decades ago.

Walker, who is set to enter free agency this spring, indicated a desire to remain with the Seahawks, stating, “I’d definitely stay,” according to NFL.com. His strong playoff performance, including four touchdowns in the two games leading up to the Super Bowl, was further bolstered by the absence of teammate Zach Charbonnet, who suffered a torn ACL in the Divisional Round win over the 49ers.

The Seahawks’ win marks the franchise’s second Super Bowl title. CBS Sports noted that Walker’s performance was particularly significant given a modest outing from quarterback Sam Darnold and limited receiving production from Offensive Player of the Year Jaxson Smith-Njigba, who had just four catches for 27 yards.
