Madness D’elle, a four-year-old French thoroughbred, secured victory in the Sea Moon & Silverwave At Burgage Stud Maiden Hurdle at Gowran Park on Saturday, February 14, 2026. The race, worth €12,000 with a winner’s prize of €7,200, saw Madness D’elle finish two and three-quarter lengths ahead of Manoir De Mirande, with Arouet placing third.
The Maiden Hurdle, contested over two miles on heavy turf, featured ten runners. Paul Townend piloted Madness D’elle to victory, leading after joining the front-runner in the straight and extending the lead before the last hurdle. The horse, trained by W.P. Mullins, had previously finished third at Auteuil in May and second in a juvenile maiden at Punchestown 33 days prior to Saturday’s race.
Manoir De Mirande, trained by G. Elliott and ridden by Jack Kennedy, tracked the leader and challenged for the lead entering the straight, but ultimately fell short. Arouet, with Daniel King as jockey and P. Twomey as trainer, finished third, whereas Tea Biscuit and Whats New completed the top five.

Rebel Queen, ridden by Michael Kenneally, finished last in the ten-runner field, while Nile Star and Ocean Murphy also trailed behind the leading pack. The race card indicated that Madness D’elle and Manoir De Mirande both carried a weight of 11-7.
