SDSU Faces Nevada with Injury ‍Concerns, Focus on Road Resilience

RENO, ⁤Nev. ⁣- San⁣ Diego State ​travels to Mackay Stadium⁣ Saturday ⁤night to‌ face Nevada, aiming to continue its Mountain ⁤West Conference momentum while navigating potential injury setbacks to key players. The Aztecs (4-1,1-0) are favored by 7.5 points against the Wolf Pack (1-4, 0-1), but ‍the availability of linebacker Tano Letuli remains uncertain.

SDSU is looking to build​ on its strong start ⁤to the season and demonstrate its⁣ ability to perform on the road. A win against Nevada would solidify their position⁢ in the Mountain West standings and provide a confidence boost as they navigate a challenging schedule. Letuli,a Cathedral Catholic ‌High School ​graduate,has started four of five games this season. He exited ⁤the Washington State game with an apparent left shoulder injury and ‍missed the contest against ⁢Cal. His status will ‍be clarified three hours before kickoff with​ the release ​of the final⁣ availability report. Nevada is also dealing with injury concerns, listing wide receivers Marcus Bellon and⁣ Jordan‌ Brown, along with ‌linebacker EJ‌ Smith, as questionable. Bellon ‍(15 receptions, 193 yards, TD)‍ and ‍Brown (13-164)‍ are Nevada’s leading receivers, while Smith leads the⁣ team with two ⁢interceptions.
