College Offers Oasis Masterclass Ahead of Reunion Gigs

A Scottish college is preparing fans for the upcoming Oasis reunion tour by adding a Britpop course to its curriculum. This masterclass aims to introduce the legendary Manchester band to a new generation of concert-goers, offering a deep dive into their iconic career.

Course Details

Glasgow Clyde College will host the masterclass, which will help younger fans understand why Oasis remains so beloved. The course will explore the band’s journey from their early days as The Rain to their meteoric rise and eventual split. The class is designed for those attending the reunion concerts with their parents.

The class will cover the attitude, aesthetic, and anthems that established Oasis as a cultural phenomenon. The course aims to show why they became one of the biggest bands globally. This initiative follows a similar course offered last year focused on **Taylor Swift** to assist parents attending the Eras Tour.

Meet the Instructors

The Oasis masterclass will be led by two devoted members of the college team. One of the instructors, Christopher Kennedy, a 50-year-old curriculum manager, has been following Oasis since the beginning and has witnessed over 40 of their live performances. Amy Butler, a 38-year-old accounting lecturer, states she has “lived and breathed” the band since 1995.

“With the Oasis reunion now just weeks away, we wanted to create something that would help fans, especially younger ones attending with their parents, understand why this band still means so much to so many.”
