Early retirement applications Open for Teachers via Faris System
The Ministry of Education in Saudi Arabia is currently accepting applications for early retirement from eligible teachers through its electronic system, Faris (sshr.moe.gov.sa). This platform serves as the official channel for administrative services for Ministry employees.
The application period will remain open until Wednesday, 10 Rajab 1447 AH, corresponding to January 1, 2026 AD. The final working day for teachers intending to utilize early retirement will be Monday, 21 Rajab 1447 AH, which falls on January 12, 2026 AD.
Eligibility and Requirements
According to the Ministry, applications are limited to teachers who have completed 25 years or more of actual service. All necessary documentation must be submitted electronically through the Faris system before the application window closes. The Ministry emphasized that incomplete applications will not be considered, highlighting a commitment to transparency and organized processing.
How to Apply
Teachers wishing to apply for early retirement should log into their account on the Fares Self-Service System. Within the system, they must navigate to the “personnel services Services” section and select “an early retirement request.” Following this, official documents, including a service statement, must be uploaded to verify the accuracy of all recorded data. Approval of the request by the relevant authority will render it final and effective.
Ministry’s Rationale
The Ministry of Education explains that this initiative aims to balance the distribution of educational personnel, allowing experienced teachers to benefit from retirement programs while simultaneously creating opportunities for new talent to enter the educational system. This aligns with the Ministry’s vision for lasting development of the educational work surroundings and achieving long-term educational goals.
The established deadline for submitting applications through the Faris system is considered a key component of effective human resources management within the education sector. It provides teachers with clear timelines regarding service completion and required procedures, ensuring the continuity of the educational process without disruption to study schedules or the end of semesters. This digital approach demonstrates the Ministry’s commitment to administrative efficiency and digital transformation, benefiting both teachers and students.
