Saudi Family Allowance: Up to 10 Members Eligible for Citizen Account Program 1447
RIYADH – Saudi Arabia’s Citizen Account Program has announced expanded financial assistance for families, extending eligibility to households with up to ten members, a move signaling a significant adjustment to the Kingdom’s social support framework. The program, a direct initiative of the Saudi government, aims to bolster financial stability for eligible citizens, with payments scheduled to continue through the end of 2026.
The expanded criteria represent a practical measure of familial cohesion within Saudi society, according to program officials. Eligibility is restricted to Saudi nationals holding valid national ID cards and who are under the age of sixty. Individuals residing in social care facilities or correctional institutions are excluded. Household income must also meet officially published standards, with divorced women required to provide legal documentation of custody.
Registration begins with access to the program’s official online platform, initiating a “new registration” process. Applicants must submit their national identification number and contact information, followed by identity verification via a code sent to their mobile phone. A crucial step involves providing comprehensive family data, including details of all members, property holdings, and bank account information, to facilitate accurate assessment of eligibility.
The Ministry of Human Resources has provided a smart calculator on its portal, allowing citizens to estimate potential support amounts before application. The calculation considers the number and ages of family members, as well as total monthly household income, enhancing transparency and enabling financial planning. According to program guidelines, a household head or independent individual is eligible for 720 Saudi Riyals, while dependents over the age of eighteen receive 360 Riyals. Dependents under eighteen are allocated a maximum of 216 Riyals, with benefits decreasing gradually as household income rises.
The program’s continuation through the end of 2026 is based on royal directives, reinforcing its role as a cornerstone of the Kingdom’s social safety net, designed to improve living standards and ensure a dignified life for Saudi citizens. The program’s administration has not yet responded to inquiries regarding potential adjustments to eligibility criteria or benefit amounts beyond the current timeframe.
