Saudi Crown Prince Performs Eid al-Fitr Prayer in Mecca | Latest Updates 2024

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud performed the Eid al-Fitr prayer this morning in Mecca’s Grand Mosque, joining worshippers for the occasion. The prayer took place amidst a large gathering of people filling both the mosque and its surrounding areas, according to reports from Okaz and Al Arabiya.

Among those praying alongside the Crown Prince were Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State and member of the Council of Ministers; Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Sports; Prince Fahd bin Turki bin Faisal bin Turki bin Abdulaziz; Prince Saud bin Talal bin Sultan bin Saud bin Abdulaziz; Prince Salman bin Talal bin Sultan bin Saud bin Abdulaziz; Minister of Culture Prince Bader bin Abdullah bin Farhan; and a number of scholars, officials, and members of the military and civilian sectors, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

The observance of Eid al-Fitr in Mecca marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting. Sayidaty reported the date of the prayer as Friday, March 20, 2026.
