Former ‘soapdorp Meerdijk‘ Star Reveals Preferred Exit for Her Character
tamara, the actress who portrayed Saskia in the long-running series ‘Soapdorp Meerdijk,’ has expressed her disappointment with how her character left the show and revealed she would have preferred a more dramatic on-screen demise. Specifically, she wished Saskia had been killed off during the major chain collision storyline in the summer of 2023.
The abrupt departure of Saskia – who left to pursue a relationship with a doctor she met while Demi was receiving treatment in Germany – felt uncharacteristic to Tamara.She believes the storyline didn’t align with the established dynamic between Saskia and Julian,particularly after the challenges they overcame following the events involving Roman. “I must honestly say that I thought it was a shame that Saskia left the series in this way,” Tamara stated.
Tamara explained that, as an actor, she envisioned a more impactful exit. “As an actor you want to be with a big bang the series out.That is laughter,” she said, suggesting the large-scale chain collision presented the ideal opportunity for a significant character death. “the chain collision was the moment when there should have been a character at least.”
Despite her reservations about Saskia’s exit, Tamara hasn’t ruled out a potential return to the series. When asked about the possibility,she playfully responded,”who knows,I might come and have a look. You don’t know.”
