SANTIAGO – As Chile prepares to celebrate its Bicentennial Independence Day,a range of festivities are planned across the country,offering options from lively urban “fondas” to traditional costumbrista celebrations. From September 17th to 20th, Matucana 100 in Central Station will host “Fonda Nomade,” a unique event blending comedy, rock, cumbia, and cueca. The lineup includes artists such as 22, Metlengua, Knows Moya, Holy Neighborhood, and Duo Pajarito. Tickets are available through Passline.
Costumbrista Fiesta in Peñaflor
Peñaflor will host its annual “Costumbrista Fiesta” during the three days of Independence Day celebrations. The event promises a family-friendly atmosphere with live music, folklore, gastronomy, games, and access to wetland areas and picnic grills.
