A delegation of table tennis players from Santiago del Estero achieved notable results at the Challenger Senior tournament held in El Carmen, Jujuy, from October 2 to 4, labandadiario.com reported. Competing alongside the Asociación Norte de Tenis de Mesa, the provincial contingent entered various senior age categories and doubles modalities to test their competitive standing in the regional circuit.
The event drew players from multiple provinces to demonstrate that the discipline accommodates competitors across a wide spectrum of ages. Representing Santiago del Estero, Emilio Sialle, Luciana Fochi, Ricardo Acosta, and Valeria Gerez traveled to Jujuy to contest individual and team brackets.
Podium Finishes and Category Victories in Jujuy
Ricardo Acosta and Emilio Sialle teamed up to capture third place in the Men’s Doubles +24 division. In mixed competition, Luciana Fochi and Ricardo Acosta took third place in the Mixed Doubles +50 bracket.
Fochi claimed the championship title in the Llave B +40 division and added a third-place finish in the individual +50 category. Sialle advanced through the Llave A rounds in the +40 category before claiming the title in the Llave B +30 division. Acosta competed in both the +40 and +50 individual categories, reaching the Llave A stages. Gerez rounded out the delegation’s entries by competing in the +30 category and the Llave B +40 knockout rounds.
Santiago Del Estero Offers Regional Training and Competition
