Sandy Mölling & Senna Gammour Criticize Joachim Llambi on ‘Let’s Dance’ Podcast

March 22, 2026 Julia Evans – Entertainment Editor Entertainment

Former No Angels singer Sandy Mölling has publicly criticized “Let’s Dance” judge Joachim Llambi, recalling a negative experience during her 2006 appearance on the RTL dance competition. Mölling, along with fellow musician Senna Gammour, discussed their experiences on the show in a recent episode of the “Recall” podcast.

Gammour, who competed on “Let’s Dance” in 2021, stated she felt disadvantaged during her time on the show, despite enjoying the intensive preparation. She ultimately finished twelfth and expressed disappointment with the overall production. “I had no chance. I was so excited about the project!” Gammour said on the podcast, co-hosted with former Monrose member Bahar Kizil.

Mölling, who placed third in the first season of “Let’s Dance” twenty years ago, echoed Gammour’s sentiments, specifically regarding Llambi’s behavior. “He was also mean to you,” Mölling stated, shaking her head. While neither singer provided specific details of the incidents, their comments suggest a pattern of critical interactions with the judge.

The criticism isn’t novel. In 2021, during the 14th season of “Let’s Dance,” viewers observed what appeared to be a series of pointed remarks from Llambi directed at Gammour. According to news portal t-online, the tension stemmed from a prior encounter on the cooking show “Grill den Henssler,” where Llambi commented during the premiere of “Let’s Dance,” “We cooked together recently. You danced a bit with Steffen Henssler. When I saw your name on the list, I was worried.” Gammour responded to the comment in a subsequent episode, stating, “Mr. Llambi’s remark was too much” and calling it “so mean.”

The current, 19th season of “Let’s Dance” is set to premiere on February 27th, with the reveal of the celebrity contestants’ dance partners. This year’s lineup includes Nadja Benaissa, another member of the No Angels, alongside Mölling. The two singers are also preparing for a 25th-anniversary tour, “TwentyFive Live,” which will include a stop in Saarland.

The judging panel remains consistent, with Joachim Llambi, Jorge González, and Motsi Mabuse evaluating the performances. Daniel Hartwich and Victoria Swarovski will return as hosts. It remains to be seen whether further contestants will publicly address concerns regarding Llambi’s conduct as the season progresses.
