SAN JOSE, CA – ⁤the San Jose Sharks announced today the recall of Slovakian forward Pavol Regenda from their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the San Jose Barracuda.‍ The news was ​initially reported via the ​club’s social‌ media channels.

Regenda, a native of⁤ Michalovce, Slovakia, has been a consistent performer for the Barracuda this season,⁢ amassing seven points – three goals and⁣ four assists – in 19 games played.

This‍ marks Regenda’s first call-up to the NHL since a January trade saw him move from the Anaheim⁤ Ducks ‍organization to⁢ the Sharks system in exchange for Justin‌ Bailey. He will be ⁢looking to make an immediate impact wiht his new team.

The 25-year-old forward is⁣ potentially slated to‌ make his debut with the Sharks on Tuesday night when they host a game against Utah, ‌scheduled‌ for 4:00 PM Central ​european Time (CET).

Regenda ‍participated ⁤in his‌ first practice with the San Jose⁢ Sharks on Monday evening (Slovak time), skating on the⁤ fourth line and featuring ​in ​the second power-play unit. This suggests the coaching‍ staff‍ is ‌considering him‌ for a ⁣meaningful‌ role.

Prior to this ​recall,regenda had appeared in 19 NHL games,all with the Anaheim Ducks,where he ⁣recorded three points (one goal⁢ and ⁣two assists).his last NHL ‌appearance⁢ was on March 17, 2024.
