San Jose Art Project Forces Small Businesses to Close

Jasmine chan, proprietor of The Knotty Corgi, expressed her desire to resume operations in San Pedro following a previous departure necessitated by construction. However, the protracted nature of the renovation has left her uncertain about interim business strategies. Without a physical storefront,Chan anticipates a return to reliance on popup markets adn online sales, revenue streams she finds less dependable than a brick-and-mortar establishment.

Chan, who operated a San Pedro storefront for approximately four months, described the experience as a valuable prospect for customer engagement and fostering repeat business. “It was a very positive experience,to know what it’s like to own something physical, and something a little bit more permanent,” Chan stated.
