Samsung Galaxy Watch9 and Ultra2: Advanced Health Monitoring and Performance Features

Samsung Electronics Indonesia has launched the Galaxy Watch9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra2, introducing advanced health monitoring tools designed to help users track their physical condition from sleep to daily recovery. According to Samsung Electronics Indonesia MX Product Marketing Manager Tipe Sultan, the new wearables function as comprehensive health companions rather than standard activity trackers, utilizing the One UI 9 Watch interface to translate complex biometric data into personalized insights.

Advanced Health Monitoring Through One UI 9 Watch

The Galaxy Watch9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra2 leverage the Samsung BioActive Sensor during sleep to gather comprehensive biometrics, as reported by Samsung. According to Samsung, the Vitals feature records resting heart rate, heart rate variability, respiratory rate, skin temperature, and blood oxygen levels to establish a personalized baseline of the user’s condition. These measurements feed into a Heart Health Score that summarizes cardiovascular readiness based on sleep quality, daily activity, body composition, and stress levels before a user begins exercising.

Additional tools included in the One UI 9 Watch platform feature Daily Cardio Load and Fitness Index. According to Samsung, these systems are designed to help users evaluate whether their bodies are prepared for high-intensity outdoor activities like trail running and diving, or lighter routines such as evening jogs and casual walks.

Hardware Differences and Ecosystem Demand

While both devices run identical Samsung Health experiences powered by One UI 9, they cater to different usage styles. According to Samsung, the Galaxy Watch9 features a thinner design optimized for lightweight, everyday wear, whereas the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 is built with a rugged 800 mAh battery to support high-intensity endurance sports and demanding outdoor environments.

This hardware release arrives amid growing engagement with the brand’s digital ecosystem in Indonesia. According to Samsung, more than 2.5 million active users currently utilize Samsung Health, reflecting a rising consumer demand for devices that provide actionable recovery data rather than basic distance and calorie tracking.
