Samsung Pushes March Security Update to Galaxy A-Series, S23 and S24
Samsung has begun rolling out its March security update to a range of Galaxy devices, including the recently released Galaxy A56 and A36, as well as the Galaxy S23 and S24 series. The update, which began appearing for A-series devices on Tuesday, addresses a significant number of security vulnerabilities, according to GalaxyClub.nl.
The rollout includes firmware updates for the following models:
- Galaxy A56 – version A566BXXU9BZC4
- Galaxy A54 – version A546BXXSIEZC3
- Galaxy A53 – version A536BXXSKGZC1
- Galaxy A36 – version A366BXXS8BZC2
- Galaxy S24, S24+ and S24 Ultra – version S92*BXXS5CZC1
- Galaxy S23, S23+ and S23 Ultra – version S91*BXXS9EZC1
While the update doesn’t introduce new features, it delivers a critical security patch addressing approximately sixty vulnerabilities within the Android operating system. Eight of these vulnerabilities are classified as “critical,” representing a relatively high number, according to the report. One particularly important fix, CVE-2026-21385, does not affect the Galaxy A56 as it does not utilize a Qualcomm processor.
The update is currently available in the Netherlands, Belgium, and across Europe, and users can manually check for it via Settings -> Software update -> Download and install. Although the March patch was not initially available on the Galaxy A55, It’s expected to be released shortly.
The timing of the update comes as Samsung prepares for the launch of One UI 8.5, suggesting a continued commitment to security even as the company focuses on larger software updates.
