Samsung is preparing to launch its Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57 mid-range smartphones imminently, following their appearance in the Google Play Console, signaling a near official release. The listings confirm key specifications for both devices, including processor details and operating system versions.
According to information revealed in the Google Play Console listings, the Galaxy A37 will be powered by the Exynos 1480 System on Chip (SoC), paired with a Samsung Xclipse 530 GPU clocked at 1300 MHz. This marks a return to Exynos processors for the A37, differing from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip featured in the previous generation Galaxy A36. The A37 will ship with 6GB of RAM, with additional RAM options likely available, and will run Android 16. The display will be FHD+ with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels.
The Galaxy A57 will boast a more powerful Exynos 1680 SoC, representing an upgrade from the Exynos 1580 found in the Galaxy A56. This will be coupled with a Samsung Xclipse 550 GPU at 1200 MHz and 8GB of RAM. Like the A37, the A57 will as well run Android 16 and feature an FHD+ display.
Even as the launch of the A37 and A57 is approaching, Samsung is also preparing to unveil its Galaxy S26 series. The mid-range phones are expected to debut globally shortly after the flagship S26 series is released. Recent renders suggest a familiar design language for both the A37 and A57, continuing Samsung’s established aesthetic with features like the “Key Island” – the raised button cluster – and a vertical triple-camera layout. The Galaxy A57 is notably thin, measuring just 6.9mm.
Industry observers note that the updates to the Galaxy A series appear incremental, potentially making this one of the least transformative iterations in recent years. However, the processor upgrades in both the A37 and A57 are expected to deliver steady performance improvements for everyday use.
