saints Acquire Wide Receiver Ja’Lynn Polk in Trade with Patriots
Teh New Orleans Saints are adding to their receiving corps, acquiring wide receiver Ja’Lynn Polk from the New England patriots, a source confirmed to ESPN on Saturday. The move comes as the saints continue to bolster their offensive weapons ahead of the 2025 season.
Polk, a 2024 second-round pick, is currently on injured reserve due to a shoulder injury. Despite the injury, the Saints are investing in the young receiver, who showed promise during his rookie campaign last year, recording 12 receptions for 87 yards and two touchdowns across 15 games.New Orleans will also receive a 2028 seventh-round draft pick in the deal, while sending a 2027 sixth-round pick to New England.
This trade marks the second time in the past month the Saints have addressed their wide receiver depth through a trade.In August, New Orleans acquired Devaughn Vele from the Denver Broncos, sending a 2026 fourth-round pick and a 2027 seventh-round pick to Denver in return.
