Sachin Tendulkar Not Being considered for BCCI President Role, Management Clarifies
Mumbai: Reports circulating about Sachin Tendulkar possibly taking on the role of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President have been denied by his management team. The speculation arose ahead of the BCCI’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), where leadership positions will be a key focus.
currently, Roger Binny holds the BCCI presidency, having replaced Sourav Ganguly in 2022. Binny, aged 70, has reached the age limit stipulated by the BCCI constitution for the president’s role, necessitating a change in leadership.Rajiv Shukla is the current BCCI Acting President,while Arun Dhumal recently completed a six-year term as IPL chairman. Jai Shah currently chairs the ICC adn is expected to continue as BCCI Secretary, alongside Rohhan and Pabthage Bhatia as Treasurer.
Tendulkar’s management team has firmly stated that the former indian captain is not being considered for the position.
