S Club 7’s Jo O’Meara Hospitalized with Burns After Kitchen Accident
London, UK – S Club 7 singer Jo O’Meara has been rushed to hospital after suffering “very nasty burns” in a kitchen accident, she revealed via Instagram today, October 11, 2024. Teh incident occurred while attempting a recipe, though details remain limited.
O’Meara, 45, shared a downcast selfie from her hospital bed, accompanied by a crying emoji, telling fans: “I can’t tell you how much it hurt. It b****y hurt. Like it really really hurt. I cried real water tears, it was terrible, very sad.”
This latest health setback comes after a prolonged struggle with back pain for the singer. She underwent emergency surgery in November 2022 to remove a disc, cancelling scheduled gigs including Fife Pride, but the operation didn’t provide the expected relief. She was also hospitalized for back pain in May of this year and required “urgent” surgery in April after being rushed to hospital during rehearsal.
O’Meara initially sustained a back injury in 2002 while filming the S Club film Seeing Double. she has previously spoken publicly about her battle with gambling addiction.
