Ryder Cup Attendees: Important Security &‌ Access Information for Friday,‌ September 26th

Ryder Cup ticket holders attending on Friday,​ September 26th, ‌should anticipate heightened ⁤security protocols and specific item restrictions at​ Bethpage Black.

To‍ ensure a smooth entry, attendees are encouraged to arrive well before the 5:00 a.m. gate opening ​and allow extra⁣ time for security procedures.Beyond initial screening at the entrance,⁤ additional security checkpoints utilizing⁢ TSA-style screening will be positioned around ⁢the Clubhouse, ​adjacent grandstand,⁢ and⁣ surrounding areas. Re-entry to⁢ thes secured zones will ​require ⁤re-screening.

Guests are ⁢advised to bring ⁣only essential items. ​Please consult the Ryder Cup Spectators Guide ⁣for a thorough‍ list‍ of prohibited items.

Specifically, the following items will not be allowed‍ within the frist​ tee grandstand or Clubhouse area⁣ on Friday, september 26th – this includes⁤ items purchased at ⁢the Ryder ⁢Cup​ merchandise locations:

* Portable folding‌ chairs
* Large vaping⁢ devices
* Torch-style lighters
*⁢ Metal ⁢or ​hard plastic insulated beverage containers
*⁣ Large umbrellas (compact, retractable umbrellas are permitted)
* Range finders
* Laptops and tablets

Umbrella ⁢use may be limited in certain areas of the course and⁢ grandstand; rain ponchos are highly recommended.⁣

All ⁣bags and personal belongings are subject to inspection. Storage ⁤for prohibited items is unavailable‌ inside ​the Bethpage Black Golf Course, though a limited number of lockers will be available near the main entrance, outside⁣ the‍ security screening area.
