Anna Rusowicz Defends Friend Marek Piekarczyk Amidst Political Criticism, Calls Him Her “Brother”
Warsaw, Poland – Singer Anna Rusowicz, daughter of Polish music legends Ada Rusowicz and Wojciech Korda, has publicly come to the defense of fellow musician Marek Piekarczyk, a former judge on “The Voice of poland,” amidst recent criticism leveled against him due to his wife’s political views. Rusowicz described Piekarczyk as a close friend, even referring to him as her “brother,” and urged the public to refrain from attacking him based on his personal choices.
The pair have a long-standing relationship, dating back to a performance at a Harley’s rally years before Piekarczyk’s television fame. Rusowicz shared her thankfulness for Piekarczyk’s character and unwavering support, stating, “He is an active activist, social worker… You can say that this is my brother.” She highlighted their shared values and mutual support, revealing she feels comfortable reaching out to him “even at three in the morning” knowing he will answer.
Rusowicz recently felt compelled to speak out after Piekarczyk faced backlash related to the open support of his wife, Marta Nawrocka. Despite being unaware of the specifics of the controversy until recently, Rusowicz was firm in her commitment to their friendship.
“Regardless of whom he would vote for,he is my friend and I will never cross him as of the difference of views,” she declared. She passionately appealed to the public, asking them not to diminish Piekarczyk’s artistic contributions based on his personal beliefs, and confirmed she has no intention of doing so herself.
This public display of support underscores the deep bond between the two artists, extending beyond their shared profession to encompass a genuine friendship built on mutual respect and shared values.
