Rubio Raises Pressure on Venezuela, Threatens Force, Meets Machado in Washington

U.S. secretary of State Marco Rubio ​warned⁤ that President Donald Trump does not rule out the use of force if Venezuela’s acting president, ⁢ Delcy Rodríguez, does not cooperate wiht Washington’s demands. This is ⁤according to⁢ the speech the ⁢U.S. top diplomat will deliver‌ on Wednesday before the⁣ Senate to explain U.S. policy toward Venezuela. He⁤ will also receive‌ Venezuelan⁣ opposition leader María corina Machado at the State Department, ‍two weeks after her meeting with Trump.
