RSC Anderlecht Eyes Eredivisie Striker as Search for Reinforcements Continues
brussels, Belgium – RSC Anderlecht is continuing its search for attacking reinforcements following the departures of Kasper Dolberg and Keisuke Goto, with NEC Nijmegen‘s Kento shiogai emerging as a potential target. despite having Luis Vazquez, Adriano Bertaccini, and Mihajlo Cvetkovic currently in the squad, Anderlecht is exploring options to bolster its forward line.
The club initially considered Bayern Munich’s Jonah-kusi Asare, but the young attacker has since joined Fulham on loan. Shiogai,a 20-year-old Japanese forward,has impressed with NEC Nijmegen this season,scoring two goals in three matches. He previously registered five goals in 28 games for the Dutch club last season, primarily as a substitute.
Anderlecht views Shiogai as an affordable option to strengthen its attack. However, securing his signature presents a challenge as the Dutch transfer window has closed, raising questions about NEC’s willingness to release the player.
The pursuit comes as Luis Vazquez is expected to lead the line in the coming weeks due to an injury to Bertaccini.
