Elite’s Rivo Trainer Targets Indoor Cycling Newcomers
New Smart Trainer for Beginners
At Eurobike 2025, **Elite** is launching the Rivo, a smart role trainer crafted for those new to indoor cycling. This compact device, according to **Elite**, is packed with all the essential functions for effective training within your home.
The Rivo calculates performance with an accuracy of plus or minus 2.5 percent and manages resistance automatically, simulating slopes up to 18 percent. It can connect to common training apps such as Zwift or TrainerRoad through Bluetooth and WLAN. Weighing 10 kilograms with an integrated handle, the Rivo is designed for easy transport and storage. Its quiet operation aims for focused training without noise disruption.
“The connectivity of the Rivo includes integrated WLAN for stable data transmission and automatic firmware updates as well as dual-bluetooth for the parallel connection of several devices.”

The trainer is compatible with bikes featuring 9 to 12 speeds. Additional connectivity includes integrated WLAN for stable data transmission and automatic firmware updates, along with dual Bluetooth for connecting multiple devices simultaneously. It also has a bridge function for Bluetooth heart rate and cadence sensors. There are two stand-alone modes enabling training even without a power supply or app connection. The standard Rivo package includes a 12-month free subscription to **Elite’s** My E-Training app for training control and analysis. The manufacturer states the price for the standard version will be less than 500 euros.
Zwift-Ready Version
Moreover, **Elite** is offering a Zwift-Ready version of the Rivo. This setup includes the Zwift Cog and Zwift Click. The Zwift Cog replaces the cassette on the rear wheel and is compatible with most 8 to 12-speed drivetrains, simplifying wheel changes. The Zwift Click can attach to any handlebar, allowing for switching up to 24 virtual gears and controlling resistance intuitively within the Zwift app. The Zwift-Ready version is ideal for immediately starting with virtual training on Zwift.
According to **Elite**, exclusive two-way offers will apply to the Zwift-Ready models. The Rivo and the Zwift-Ready version, complete with Zwift Cog and Click, are expected to be available in specialist shops beginning September 2025. The recommended retail price for the Rivo is set at 499 euros, while the Zwift-Ready version will cost 519 euros. Owners of the standard version can retrofit their trainers with the Zwift Cog & Click Kit, which is available directly from Zwift. **Elite** is targeting newcomers to indoor training with the Rivo, offering a smart and functional role trainer at a competitive price. The global indoor cycling market is projected to reach $2.3 billion by 2028, according to a 2023 report (Research and Markets).
