Roja Film Holidays to Feature Animator Vladimir leschov and French cinema Classics
Roja, Latvia – The annual Roja Film Holidays are set to commence with a diverse program celebrating animation and classic French cinema. The event will open with an exhibition at the Roja Data Center 13, showcasing original markings from acclaimed animator Vladimir Leschov’s films, including “insomnia,” “Wings and Airi,” “Lost in the Snow,” “Villa antropoff,” and “Rain Days.” Following the exhibition, the Roja culture Center will present a director’s film at 2:00 PM.
the film program will continue with a screening of the 1963 film “Melodies from the Basement,” starring French film legend Alain Delon. The festival’s conventional closing will be marked by a sunset concert on Roja beach,featuring performances by singer Melissa Deborah Kashur and Anta Angel. The concert’s repertoire will include music from Latvian animation films and other notable works by Latvian composers.
Later in the evening, at 10:00 PM, attendees can enjoy a screening of the film “Straume.” Prior to the screening, from 8:30 PM on the beach, the film’s awards will be presented. The night will conclude with a screening of the 1964 French adventure film “Black Tulip,” also starring Alain Delon.
