Robotic Hand Breakthrough: LinkerBot’s L30 Achieves Superhuman Speed | Beijing 2026

March 24, 2026 Lucas Fernandez – World Editor World

Beijing-based robotics startup LinkerBot is rapidly becoming a key supplier to major technology and academic institutions, with its advanced robotic hands now utilized by Samsung Electronics, the University of Hong Kong, Stanford University, Siemens, MIT, Cambridge, and Tsinghua University, according to reports surfacing today.

The company, founded in 2023 by Alex Zhou Yong, has developed a range of dexterous robotic hands with varying degrees of freedom. LinkerBot’s flagship L30 model, featuring 22 joints, is capable of ultra-swift rotation and precision control exceeding typical human limits, as demonstrated in recent videos. The L30 achieves precision of ±0.2 mm, making it suitable for complex assembly tasks.

LinkerBot’s success follows a significant funding boost, having secured nearly $217 million in its Series B financing round. The company intends to employ these funds to double its research team by the end of 2026. Prior to this, LinkerBot secured $150 million in funding and shipped its 10,000th dexterous hand last year.

The company offers a tiered product line. The entry-level O6 hand has 11 degrees of freedom, while more advanced models, like the L6 used in a piano performance at the inaugural World Robotics Competition last August, offer approximately 20 degrees of freedom, mirroring the complexity of the human hand. The O6 is constructed from lightweight polymer and delivers a 50 kg grip force while weighing only 370 grams. LinkerBot claims the O6 is ten times more durable and significantly more affordable than competing products.

Zhou Yong has stated the firm’s ambition to “build 1 million [dexterous] hands to master 1 million skills,” ranging from household chores to specialized industrial applications. The Linker Hand series offers versatility, with models equipped with 6 to 42 degrees of freedom and utilizing various actuation technologies.
