Weight Loss Injections Linked to Vision Loss in Pop Star robbie Williams
LONDON – Pop icon Robbie Williams, 51, has revealed he is experiencing deteriorating vision and suspects weight loss injections are to blame. The singer’s concerns come as the use of these injections-often referred to as “fat jabs”-continues to rise in popularity.
Williams publicly shared his fears, stating he feels compelled to warn others about potential risks. “I want to warn people of the potential risks and to do some of their own research,” he told The Sun. He explained he began using the injections early on and has noticed a consistent decline in his eyesight. “I started taking these shots quite early and I’ve been noticing for a while now that my vision isn’t good and it’s only getting worse. I don’t think it’s age. It’s going to be because of the shots,” Williams added.
The singer described a recent experience at an American football game where players appeared as “little specks” on the field, prompting him to seek medical attention. Despite the alarming growth, Williams stated he has no intention of stopping the injections, even admitting, “I’ll keep doing this untill I’m blind in one eye.” He credits the injections with critically important weight loss and believes regaining that weight would negatively impact his mental health.
Weight loss injections typically work by mimicking a hormone that regulates appetite, leading to reduced food intake. While effective for weight management, potential side effects are increasingly under scrutiny as usage expands.
