Rob Kemps Ends Snollebollekes Shows & Reveals New Jumbo Job

March 21, 2026 Julia Evans – Entertainment Editor Entertainment

Veghel, Netherlands – Rob Kemps, best known as the frontman of the Dutch party band Snollebollekes, is stepping into a new role as the face of Jumbo supermarket’s advertising campaigns, replacing Frank Lammers after thirteen years. The announcement comes as Kemps prepares to conclude his Snollebollekes stadium shows this weekend.

Kemps confirmed he had already begun work with Jumbo, stating, “I discover it really great, I’ve already had the first days and I think it’s fantastic to do.” He expressed enthusiasm for collaborating with the supermarket chain, saying, “I am really looking forward to creating something new and fun together with Jumbo.” According to interim CMO René Repko, Kemps “fits perfectly with the positive, upbeat energy we want to move towards.”

The transition marks a shift in Jumbo’s marketing strategy, with the slogan changing from “Hallo Jumbo” to “De JA van Jumbo,” and Kemps positioned as “the happiest customer in the Netherlands.” Entertainment expert Thom Goderie has described the move as “a golden move” for the artist.

The deal is reportedly lucrative, with sources suggesting a payment of 25,000 euros per commercial spot. When questioned about the figure, Kemps responded evasively, stating, “But look… If I have to react to everyone who shouts, then I can’t head refueling anymore.” He distanced himself from the speculation, adding, “I’m not one of the shouters. I’m one of the…” before trailing off.

Kemps’s new role with Jumbo coincides with the end of an era for Snollebollekes. This weekend’s performances at Gelredome will be the band’s last stadium shows, bringing an end to sixteen shows and performances for 450,000 fans. Kemps reflected on the evolution of his career, noting that his life and work have changed since he was full-time Snollebollekes in 2009, requiring a redistribution of his energy.

Notably, Kemps stated he had not spoken with Frank Lammers regarding the transition. The changeover follows Lammers’s long-standing partnership with Jumbo alongside actress Maike Meijer, a collaboration Kemps described as “iconic.”
