Rivera Wins All-Around Title; 2025 U.S. Gymnastics Team Announced

Hezly Rivera Dominates 2025 Xfinity U.S. gymnastics Championships, National Team Announced

NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana (August 10, 2025) – Hezly Rivera of Oradell, New Jersey, delivered a stunning performance at the 2025 Xfinity U.S. Gymnastics Championships, securing the senior all-around title and adding three apparatus championships to her impressive record.the event, held at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans,concluded with the announcement of the Senior Women’s National Team Presented by Xfinity.

Rivera, training at WOGA Gymnastics, showcased her consistency and skill throughout the two-day competition, achieving a combined all-around score of 112.000. her individual apparatus victories included a gold medal on balance beam with a score of 28.350, floor exercise with 28.200, and a shared title on uneven bars (27.600) alongside Skye Blakely of Frisco, Texas, who represents the University of Florida.

Leanne Wong, representing Overland Park, Kansas, and the University of Florida, finished a close second in the all-around with a total of 111.200. Wong’s performance was highlighted by a gold medal on vault (28.175) and a bronze medal on uneven bars (27.500). Joscelyn Roberson of Texarkana, texas, and the University of Arkansas, rounded out the all-around podium with a score of 109.600, also earning a silver medal on floor exercise (27.900).

Looking ahead: The Road to Jakarta

The newly named national team will now prepare for the 2025 Senior World Championships, scheduled to take place October 19-25 in Jakarta, Indonesia. The team representing the U.S. at the World Championships will be steadfast at a selection camp held September 29-October 2 in Crossville,Tennessee. This year’s championships mark a significant step towards the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, with many of these athletes vying for future Olympic consideration.
