Rionegro Strengthens Commitment too Animal Welfare with Week-Long Initiative
In party of World Animal Day, Rionegro has demonstrated its dedication to animal welfare through a thorough program organized by the integral Center for Animal Welfare (CEIBA). The ”Animal Welfare Week” was a collaborative effort between CEIBA, CES University, the Mayor’s Office of Rionegro, and the Municipal Council, aiming to promote responsible pet ownership and bolster community involvement in animal protection.
The initiative provided crucial, free services to Rionegro residents, including sterilization clinics, anti-rabies vaccinations, deworming treatments, and opportunities for responsible pet adoption.Complementing these practical services was a robust academic program featuring presentations and discussions lead by animal welfare experts and veterinary professionals.
A key highlight of the week was a focused discussion on the “Angel Law,” Colombia’s legislation designed to strengthen animal protection.
