Rey Mysterio Heads to Saudi Arabia for WWE Royal Rumble Weekend

February 10, 2026 Alex Carter - Sports Editor Sport

Rey Mysterio is now ⁣headed to Saudi ⁢Arabia for the⁣ upcoming WWE Royal Rumble weekend.

Despite reports ⁤of an injury on the⁤ January 26th edition⁤ of Monday Night Raw, ‌WWE Hall of Famer Mysterio has uploaded a‍ picture of himself while traveling to‍ the Middle-Eastern country.

An unmasked ‍Mysterio⁣ shared a picture with Penta and Dragon ⁢Lee, ⁢also ⁢unmasked, while sitting ⁤inside an airplane ⁣ on social media. All three unmasked luchadors preferred to cover their face while sharing the photo.

Mysterio, lee, and Penta have all‌ declared for the Royal Rumble and are scheduled ‍to compete in the match this ⁢weekend. Though, there are currently no confirmed reports on Mysterio’s fitness for the match and whether he would ‌participate or not.

Last year at the 2025 edition of Royal Rumble,⁣ Penta and Mysterio began the match as the first ‍two entrants. While Penta lasted over 40-minutes, Mysterio ⁣was eliminated in the 24th minute.

Mysterio, 51, spent several months out ⁢of action in⁢ 2025 after suffering a groin injury in April ⁤before WrestleMania⁤ 41. He’s been back in the ring since.
