Carson City Aquatic Facility to Temporarily Close for Scheduled Maintenance
Carson City residents will have limited access to public swimming facilities this winter as the Carson City Aquatic Facility prepares to close in December for essential maintenance. The closure will allow for critical repairs adn upgrades to ensure the facilityS continued safe and efficient operation.

City officials state the maintenance is a proactive measure to address wear and tear and prevent more extensive, costly repairs in the future. The facility is expected to reopen in February 2025, with a specific date to be announced closer to the completion of the work.
“This temporary closure is necessary to perform vital maintenance that will extend the life of the facility and enhance the experience for our community,” said Parks, Recreation & Open Space Director, Brandon Harrington, in a press release. “We understand this may cause inconvenience, and we appreciate the public’s patience as we work to improve the Aquatic Facility.”
The maintenance will include repairs to the pool’s filtration system, tile work, and general facility upkeep.
