Evenepoel Demonstrates Form in Tour of Britain Stage Two
September 3,2025 – Remco Evenepoel showcased his strength in the concluding kilometers of Stage Two of the Tour of Britain, signaling a strong return to competition for the Soudal Speedy-Step leader.Following the stage,Evenepoel expressed satisfaction to VTM News with his performance and team collaboration.
This week marks Evenepoel’s first race kilometers as extensive discussion surrounding his preparation for the 2025 Tour de France. Prior to the race, Evenepoel stated his intention to rigorously test his limits, and a powerful breakaway featuring Andreas Stokbro, Hartthijs de Vries of unibet Tietema Rockets, and Evenepoel himself provided that prospect in Wednesday’s stage.
Evenepoel explained a key moment of teamwork during the stage, stating, “We have Luke Lamperti asked him if I should ride. He didn’t want that at first, but then I told him that if I didn’t help him,we wouldn’t make it. that we would not even get a chance to sprint.” He then took the lead, driving the pace to reel in an earlier breakaway before safely finishing the stage despite a late crash. “So then I just took the lead and I drove until we had taken those early refugees. And afterwards I was able to come in safely, despite another fall. so for me it was a good day.”
