Remains Identified⁤ as Travis Decker, Suspect in Daughters’ Deaths

SNOQUALMIE PASS, WA – Authorities have confirmed the remains discovered in⁢ a remote ‌area near Snoqualmie Pass‌ on September 24, 2024, have been positively identified as Travis Decker, the man wanted ⁢in‌ connection with the presumed deaths of his two daughters. The King County Sheriff’s Office announced⁤ the ‌identification on September 26, 2024, ⁣concluding a week-long intensive search.

the discovery brings a somber⁢ end to a case that ⁢gripped ⁣the Pacific Northwest, raising fears for⁤ the ‌safety of Addyson and Nevaeh Decker, ages 5 and 8, who were ⁣last⁣ seen​ with their father ​on September 16,⁢ 2024. While the girls‌ remain missing, the identification​ of Decker’s remains⁤ is a critical step in the investigation, allowing authorities to shift​ focus toward ⁣locating the children⁤ and ⁣determining the circumstances​ surrounding their⁣ disappearance.
