‘Teh Voice’ Shocker: Reba & Snoop Clash in Dramatic Battles, Sending Home Fan Favorites
HOLLYWOOD, CA – Tension mounted on The Voice as coaches Reba McEntire and Snoop Dogg faced off in a series of dramatic Battle rounds, resulting in surprising eliminations and strategic saves. The latest episodes saw both established vocalists and rising stars vying for a place in the competition’s next stage.
The first battle pitted Carly Harvey against Marty O’Reilly. Michael Bublé praised Harvey’s vocal range, noting, “Carly, you’ve got a huge range, powerful voice.Marty, you’ve got that solid inside with that huskiness that I absolutely love.” Despite Bublé acknowledging Harvey’s initial nerves and subsequent strength, O’Reilly emerged victorious. The decision led to Harvey’s elimination, with Bublé commenting on O’Reilly’s performance, “I feel it’s just so different and so amazing.”
Later, Team Reba’s Aubrey Nicole and Cori Kennedy delivered a powerhouse rendition of Carrie Underwood and Miranda lambert’s “Somthing Bad.” Coach Nick Jonas advised the pair to prioritize feeling over technical precision,stating,”I think it’s gonna serve you better in this performance to just focus on carrying the feeling of the song. I think the less enunciated, the better.” While michael bublé declared Nicole’s performance “flawless” and kennedy’s ”awesome,” Snoop Dogg ultimately chose Kennedy as the winner,confessing he felt like he was ”singing the record” and believing Kennedy was “performing the hell out of it.” Niall Horan agreed it was a “real battle,” praising both singers’ individual presence. Reba McEntire, acknowledging the strength of both voices, ultimately saved Nicole from elimination, though Snoop attempted a steal.
