MoyaS 87th-minute strike ignited celebrations for the Honduran club and ended Plaza Amador’s remarkable 21-game undefeated streak.
Real España captain Jhow Benavidez had leveled the tie with a penalty kick just before halftime, answering Ricardo Phillips’ 75th-minute equalizer for Plaza Amador. The first leg saw Plaza Amador secure a narrow 1-0 victory, setting the stage for a tense return match at the Rommel Fernández stadium.Real España coach Jeaustin Campos watched from the stands, serving a suspension.
Moya, subbed on in the 87th minute for Maylor Núñez, proved decisive, converting a Yeison Moreno assist to secure the win. “Grateful to God for the opportunity he gave me to be able to score, I knew that at any time I could enter and help the team,” Moya said after the match.
