Real Betis Midfielders Amrabat & Isco Suffer Collision, Both Forced Off in Europa League Match
Seville, Spain – November 27, 2025 - Real Betis’ Europa League clash against FC Utrecht on Thursday evening suffered an early setback as midfielders Sofyan Amrabat and Isco were both forced to leave the pitch following a collision just minutes into the match.
The incident occurred in the 2nd minute, as Amrabat attempted a shot on goal while Isco moved to support the attack. The pair collided heavily, impacting their feet, and despite attempts to continue, both players required substitutions. Isco was the first to be replaced, exiting in the 9th minute for Nelson Deossa. Amrabat followed six minutes later, wiht Pablo Fornals entering the game in his stead.
The injury is notably unfortunate for Isco, who had recently returned from a pre-season injury that kept him out of action. He made his first appearance of the season as a substitute against Girona last weekend before earning a starting spot against Utrecht.
The score remained 0-0 at the time of the double substitution. Further updates on the condition of both players are expected following the match.
