After a 20-year hiatus, the beloved children’s educational series *Reading Rainbow* is returning, and will be hosted by Mychal Threets, known online as Mychal the Librarian. threets, a passionate advocate for library access and literacy, has gained a meaningful following on TikTok for his enthusiastic book recommendations and welcoming library presence. He is now the resident librarian at PBS.
*reading Rainbow* originally aired from 1983 to 2006, hosted by LeVar Burton, and became a cornerstone of childhood education for generations. The new iteration promises to maintain the spirit of the original while introducing a fresh face to a new audience.
